Our brand, focuses on the story of migration and taking culture into a new world. We
explore the pioneer perspective, with a focus on transferring cultural and historical
knowledge through storytelling. This is realised through an interactive story of fictional explorers.
Our story begins with the question:
‘‘How would our world look like if the Islamic Golden Age never ended?’’
These explorers then explore their world and cultural artefacts and we integrate
this knowledge into our sustainably and repairable produced wearable products.
Our intention is to exemplify innovative sustainable ways of creating and wearing products in
our storytelling. In this way, we want to build bridges within the cultural diversity in our country.
Our goal is to establish a new, elevated standard that celebrates and highlights the
richness of cultural diversity. We believe that honouring cultures is only possible by acting
ethically. Many cultures and regions outside Europe suffer from the consequences of trade and
(post-)colonialism. Therefore, we believe that genuine appreciation for these cultures can only be
shown by using only products and raw materials obtained in a fair and ethical way.
At the same time, we see that sustainable products often fall short of their
unsustainable counterparts in terms of quality. We aim to bridge this gap by creating
products that are both high quality and sustainable. Through our storytelling, we
simultaneously aim to honour and highlight the cultural diversity that surrounds us.
